Brief Historical Background

The place was a jungle and the homes were scattered in different places. A certain land owner who was a member of the Municipal Council, Mr. Anastacio Rima initiates a permanent settlement by constructing homes near each other to form a Barrio. There were big trees and under the big trees were numerous plants called BAGDOC. It was discovered that the plants were poisonous and was used to catch fish by extracting roots of the plant. The settle agreed to name the place BALDOC which was derived from the poisonous plant BAGDOC. BALDOC was used to give linguistic facility in pronounciation. Many other families from nearby sitio joined the New Barangay.

The first elected Teniente del Barrio was Setero Trinidad.
